Rapid Legal has been in business for over 30 years. In addition to being a legal support service provider, the company recently created a DBA selling software as a service. Rapid Legal is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This candidate will perform a variety of special and technical accounting and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment. Maintains all customer and vendor accounts by identifying, verifying, and recording transactions using QuickBooks Online. Provides customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all internal and external customers. This position is an in-office role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with managing accounts receivable, including collections, chargebacks, etc.
Process daily customer billing and payments, recording daily deposits, etc.
Reconcile multiple checking accounts daily.
Processes daily reports for QuickBooks imports using Excel, TransactionPro, and other software.
Prepare and update daily and monthly reports, including journal entries for month and year-end close, as well as post-accrued journal entries.
Review, reconcile, and post journal entries for amortization and depreciation.
Maintain, record, and reconcile general ledger and credit card accounts.
Assist with Accounts Payable duties, including processing payments (checks and electronic) and handling vendor requests.
Assist with annual preparation of 1099 tax reporting.
Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner, providing excellent internal and external support.
General office duties include ordering supplies, prepping outgoing mail, etc.
Experience/Requirements:
Must have at least 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks Online
Must have 5 years minimum accounting experience, preferably 10 years, especially with Accounts Receivable and full cycle Payables.
Experience with accrual accounting is required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, & Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
