Position summary: Responsible for the review and evaluation of the medical record for outpatient cases only to assign accurate diagnosis and proceduralcodes ensuring optimal reimbursement while remaining compliant with all regulatory agencies. Also responsible for abstracting specificdata elements for internal operations and reporting regulatory agencies. Meets or exceeds quality and quantity requirements at alltimes.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Successful completion of AHIMA approved coding certificate program
Eligible to obtain CCS, RHIT or RHIA credential within twelve (12) months of hire
Salary range: $25.02 - $35.21
