We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and maintaining compliance with internal and external policies. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. This is a 100% office position based in City of Industry, CA. and reports directly to the company’s Accounting Manager.

Essential JOB DUTIES

Perform a variety of leadership duties and job tasks within an assigned department and /or work areas, ensuring that all application safety laws/regulations as well as state/federal employment laws that pertain to this position are following in accordance with Company policies, procedure, standards, and work rules. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Financial Planning & Reporting (General Accounting):

· Maintain the company's system of accounts and keep all financial related files well organized.

· Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

· Manage accounts payable processes, ensure timely payments and accurate monthly accrual.

· Responsible for the accounts payable for one of the company’s three business segments.

· Manage Concur Expense Reimbursement program and assist users with system issues.

· Review customer and vendor aging reports on a regular basis, monitor account balances.

· Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns and assist with other sales tax and other corporate tax compliances.

· Manage depreciation and amortization schedules in accordance with accounting principles.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

· Assist with internal and external audits (internal processes, financial, tax, etc).

· Assist with NetSuite accounting system implementation.

· Provide guidance and training to other accounting staff on procedures in their accounting roles.

· Participate in cross-functional corporate initiatives to optimize and/or improve financial and reporting systems.

· Take on special projects and ad-hoc reports as needed.

· Effective oral presentation skills (one-on-one or in group settings), and effective telephone etiquette skills/techniques.

· Proficient math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and all units of measure).

· Advanced skills in Excel (advanced functions, modeling, and database management).

· Excellent computer skills and knowledge applicable to the job (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point,). Proficient in NetSuite preferred.

· Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple duties and assignments effectively and efficiently.

· Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and demonstrated experience applying accounting policies.

· Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls.

· Ability to complete and draw conclusions from complex data analysis. Strong ability to apply knowledge to problem solving.

· Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization as well as with external partners.

· Positive and proactive attitude, taking full ownership of projects and assignments.

· Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced changing, high-growth business. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

Education: BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major

Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during work:

· Sitting: Majority of the time will be spent sitting at a desk while working on a computer or handling paperwork. Sitting is required for extended periods (e.g., "Must be able to sit for long periods, typically 6-8 hours per day").

· Standing and Walking: Periodic standing and walking may be required (e.g., "Occasional standing and walking within the office to access files, office equipment, or attend meetings").

· Lifting and Carrying: Light lifting may be necessary (e.g., "Must be able to lift and carry office supplies or documents weighing up to 20 pounds").

· Reaching, Bending, and Stooping: Describe any occasional reaching or bending (e.g., "Frequent reaching above and below shoulder level to access files or office supplies; occasional bending and stooping to retrieve items from lower drawers or cabinets").

· Manual Dexterity: Fine motor skills for handling paperwork, using a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment (e.g., "Frequent use of hands for data entry, typing, and operating office equipment such as printers and copiers").

· Visual Demands: Requirements for reading and computer work (e.g., "Must have sufficient visual acuity to read documents, spreadsheets, and emails on a computer screen for extended periods").

· Hearing and Speech: Communication abilities needed (e.g., "Ability to hear and understand conversations in person or over the phone; clear speech to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients").

Salary: $70,000.00 -$75,000.00 per year (flexible depending on experience level)
