OneSource Medical Diagnostics is a provider of administrative and support services to Expert MRI, a radiology group. OneSource Medical Diagnostics is currently seeking to fill our newest open position as an Accounts Receivable (AR) Medical Biller. In this position you will be reporting to our AR Medical Billing and Collections Manager/Controller.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Medical Biller

Type of Position: Full-Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Hours: Monday thru Friday

This position may potentially move from Bellflower to Anaheim within the next three (3) months.

Job Description:

Position Summary: Responsible for creating claims/statements and submitting them to the Payors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create claims/bills for all completed exams, while doing this make sure to red the report and chart notes carefully so that claim is coded correctly
• Submit the bills to payor and work any outstanding exceptions from either billing system or clearing house
• Make sure bills are received by payor
• Review any incoming billing requests via phone and/or email and process and note the client file accordingly
• Answer incoming calls from the dedicated billing line for any billing requests. Make sure to log and note the client file, while advertising the caller to request billing through email for faster response.
• Process over-the-phone client and/or other incoming payments as necessary
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Related experience in the healthcare industry preferred)
• Language Ability: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concets of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Excel
• Certificates and Licenses: CBCS/CPC preferred
