Growth and learning opportunity available for an experienced and knowledgeable internal that wants to further develop their skills and knowledge in Insurance Verification. Come join our Riverside Scheduling department IVT team as a full-time Insurance Verification Representative.

As an Insurance Verification Representative you will:

• Ensure accurate, timely, and thorough documentation and completion of all necessary paperwork.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the RIS system for each patient.
• Utilize telephone voice response systems and website solutions to obtain information on patients' eligibility status with insurance companies.
• Work with patients to obtain complete and correct insurance information, discuss eligibility results and alternative payment methods.
• Properly analyze various payer eligibility responses to find the information needed to complete verifications.
• Obtain and confirm insurance pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Follow all HIPAA, compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to patients, families/guests and other team members.
• Communicate with vendors, patients, referring physicians, co-workers and all team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain insurance verification log of accounts/procedures verified.
• Scan all completed paperwork into eRad RIS.
• Promote a positive and supportive relationship with the referring community and fellow employees.
• Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by management.

We're looking for dependable and detail oriented insurance verification representative candidates with a minimum of 1 year of recent radiology scheduling work experience, computer skills, the ability to type 30+ WPM with accuracy, a High School Diploma, medical terminology knowledge, and working knowledge of insurances (PPO's, HMO's and state funded insurances). Applicants will also need the ability to multi-task, have excellent customer service skills, great communication skills, strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to interact with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, and management effectively and with diplomacy!
