Position: Medical Coder
Location: REMOTE / 6200 Greenwich Drive, San Diego, CA 92122
Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM

Description:

• Under general supervision, performs in depth complex daily coding of inpatient, outpatient and global package delivery services received from physicians via Epic Charge Review; abstract CPT, HCPCS, ICD9, ICD10, and Modifiers as appropriate per clinical documentation.
• Queries and provides feedback to providers and other clinical department personnel.
• Performs other related functions as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from High School or a General Education Diploma; or equivalent experience. Epic & 3M experience required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• 3+ Years coding in Medicine specialties: Rheumatology, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Cardio; E/M 95/97 guidelines
• Strong skills in CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3M experience.
• Experience coding/billing Medi-Cal

Contract length: 6 months

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
