Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry and filing associated with the process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required. Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $32.60 Midpoint $32.60 Maximum $32.60
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to demonstrate proper aseptic techniques
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate
1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs
Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture
Experience in IV solution processing
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
