Title of Job: Remote Entry Level Certified Medical Coder

Title of Job: Remote Entry Level Medical Coder

Pay: will be a competitive hourly pay rate for entry level plus any overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate.

Hours: Full Time - Monday-Friday 8AM-5pm Central (This schedule is slightly flexible after 12 weeks of training however is set for the first couple of months)

Status: Consultant: Starting off as a consultant/contractor there is always potential for long term / conversion for the right employee upon business needs. Almost all of the positions within this client start off as a contractor due to being a Fortune 100 company.

Location:

Remote from your house. Must have high speed internet and be able to hard wire in with ethernet for faster and more reliable speed. Must have a private, distraction-free area of your home for working.

Effective Date / Tentative Start Date: Interviewing Immediately. This position will have start dates throughout January, February, & March 2022.

Job Duties:

• Perform code abstraction of medical records to ensure ICD-10-CM codes are accurately assigned and supported by clinical documentation
• Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and documentation improvement opportunities for provider education
• Assist coding leadership by making recommendations for process improvements to further enhance coding goals and outcomes
• Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10-CM codes, CMS documentation requirements, and state and federal regulations
• Consistently maintain a minimum 95% accuracy on coding quality audits
• Meet minimum productivity requirements as outlined by the project terms
• Handle other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• CPC-A, CCA, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CRC
• Ability and desire to hit metrics upon training
• High school diploma or GED (required and verified)
• Technically savvy (ability to learn software and troubleshoot equipment as needed)
• Private, distraction-free area in your home
• high speed internet, ability to be hard wired in with ethernet for faster connectivity
• No experience required
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
