JOB SUMMARY:

The Accountant is a key member of the Finance team that will assist in all areas of bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and purchasing. This role will also support the month-end closing process, and the preparation of financial and ad hoc reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

Review, post invoices and arrange payments for vendors/landlords/financial institutions
Process and post daily credit card, check, cash deposits
Conduct regular general ledger maintenance and propose entries with supporting documentation/schedule as needed
Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts/schedules
Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
Assist with monthly closing, tax returns and audits
Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
Performing other duties, when required and as assign
