We are looking for a Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will be primarily responsible entering medical information into the EMR, rooming patients, performing vitals, performing EKGs and assisting with treadmill stress tests. Additionally, they will be required to adhere to HIPAA privacy and security standards and keep up-to-date on any changes to these laws. To be considered for this position, applicants must have a background in cardiology and be bilingual (preferred) as physicians require assistance with translation.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with physicians and staff for clinical schedules.
• Arrange for tests or patient referrals as needed.
• Communicate with patients, caretakers, and/or physicians on changes to test results or diagnoses.
• Enter patient information into the computer system.
• Room patients, performed vitals, perform EKGs and assists with treadmill stress test.
• Assist with translation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
