Our medical center is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient, Spanish speaking Back Office Medical Assistant to support our Cardiology division. The ideal candidate must have professional medical terminology in both English and Spanish, need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking skills. We are looking for an individual who has great communication skills, is highly organized and is comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• EKG certification. One specialty skill that a cardiology medical assistant needs is the ability to place leads for an EKG recording. This may require a special certification course.
• Medical terminology. In order to communicate effectively with the rest of the healthcare team, medical assistants should have a basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Organization. Between documenting vital signs, handling billing, and keeping supplies stocked, medical assistants must have fantastic organizational skills.
• Eye for detail. It is important to notice subtle changes in a patient and know when to report them to a supervisor. A change in a patient's color or vital signs could mean that they are in need of urgent care

Coordinate test results with physicians.

Compose correspondence and reports.

Organize patient files and prepare them for physicians.

Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures that will be performed by other medical staff.

Carefully note all communication between patients and physicians in the patient's chart.,.
