Full Job Description

Residential & Outpatient Treatment Center in Murrieta is looking for qualified individuals for the position of Behavioral Health Technician.

Schedule : Part Time and Full Time

Shift: Grave (Weekends a must)

Job Details: As part of the responsibilities of this position, experience in the field of substance abuse treatment and familiarity with the 12- step recovery philosophy is preferred.

  • Participates as a team member to ensure appropriate treatment to all co-workers and clients.
  • Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e. calculator, fax, printer, scanner, etc.) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e. word, excel, internet, e-mail).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred (KIPU) Responsible for accurate record keeping, ensuring that client documents are complete and current, including but not limited to medication logs, documenting all vitals, shift notes, etc.
  • Conduct accurate intakes and facilitate client and facility searches as needed.
  • Observe medication times and keep accurate medication counts.
  • General cleaning, room prep for new admits and post discharge.
  • Run groups under the supervision of certified counselors, if required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Follows Companies rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards.
  • Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment statements.
  • Safety transport clients to and from doctors office, facilities and all other locations.
  • Keep accurate vehicle mileage and maintenance logs.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Class B License or Class C License with passenger endorsement. (No Class B or Class C endorsement needed for grave shift)
  • Registered Drug and Alcohol Technician certified (RADT-1) by CCAPP or willing to get certified within 2 weeks of hire. Company will provide reimbursement for initial certification.
  • Valid CPR and First aid certificate or willing to get certified within 2 weeks of hire. Company will provide or reimburse for certification.

Preferred Experience: 12 months of experience in the field of substance abuse treatment

12 months sober if in recovery
