Full Job Description

Residential & Outpatient Treatment Center in Murrieta is looking for a qualified individual for the position of Behavioral Health Technician.

SBT Health is a health care facility and is ordered under the California Department of Health to have all staff fully Covid-19 vaccinated.

Plus aggressive pay increases in the first year.
Schedule: Part-Time and Full-Time available.
Shift: Swing and Grave shifts open must be able to work weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As part of the responsibilities of this position, experience in the field of substance abuse treatment, and familiarity with the 12- step recovery philosophy is preferred.
  • Participates as a team member to ensure the appropriate treatment to all co-workers and clients.
  • Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e. calculator, fax, printer, scanner, etc.) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e. a word, excel, internet, e-mail).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred (KIPU) Responsible for accurate record-keeping, ensuring that client documents are complete and current, including but not limited to medication logs, documenting all vitals, shift notes, etc.
  • Conduct accurate intakes and facilitate client and facility searches as needed.
  • Observe medication times and keep accurate medication counts.
  • General cleaning, room prep for new admits and post-discharge.
  • Run groups under the supervision of certified counselors, if required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Follows Company's rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.
  • Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment statements.
  • Safely transport clients to and from the facilities, and all other locations.
  • Keep accurate vehicle mileage and maintenance logs.

Job Requirements:
  • Registered Drug and Alcohol Technician certified (RADT-1) by CCAPP or willing to get certified within 2 weeks of hire. The company will provide reimbursement for initial certification.
  • Valid CPR and First aid certificate or willing to get certified within 2 weeks of hire. The company will provide or reimburse for certification.
  • Minimum of 1-year clean time.
  • Must pass background and drug screen.

Preferred Experience:
  • 12 months of experience in the field of substance abuse treatment is preferred but not needed. We will train.
