The Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor acts as a Case Manager works closely with each of the clients, Clinical Director, the Program Manager on an individual basis providing assistance in the areas of client care coordination, group facilitation, individual counseling, case management, curriculum development, discharge planning, transition planning, and general servicing of clients at the Detox and Residential Levels of Care.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Follow all state of California rules and regulations concerning standards of care.
• Works with Clinical Director, and Program Manager.
• Strictly enforce and support persons served rights and confidentiality of information as required by HIPAA.
• Promote and maintain good communication and cooperative working relationships with staff, family members, and related treatment team persons.
• Demonstrate consistent and comprehensive knowledge of skills required to perform job duties and responsibilities.
• Participates in the documentation of behaviors and communicates to supervising staff promptly.
• Completes Clinical Assessments.
• Facilitates Group Counseling
• Facilitates Individual Counseling, Case Management, Care Coordination
• Works closely with Clinical Team on client health status and presenting conditions.
• Work closely with doctors to assure a clear and concise line of communication
• Follow daily shift responsibilities as designed by New Leaf Detox and Treatment.
• Crisis intervention and/or the initiation of emergency protocol if needed, including CPR and calling 911.
• Support and implement The Grove Recovery Community's philosophy with reference to all program components and persons served personal dignity.
• And, other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• in Addiction treatment: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Certification in Drug and Alcohol Counseling (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Laguna Niguel, CA 92607 (Required)
