Hope House is a private, nonprofit, inpatient program for adults with substance abuse problems. We have been treating adults for more than 35 years, providing long-term treatment. Our mission is to provide Orange County adults with supportive, comprehensive, treatment for chemical dependency.

Hope House addresses the behaviors and the emotions behind addiction. Clients learn a variety of tools to help them control behaviors from within themselves instead of relying on others. The program’s primary focus is to have clients work through the resident hierarchy. Clients must respect authority, take on responsibilities, and work with fellow clients in a team environment.

Clients develop impulse control, learn how to delay gratification and acquire other life skills necessary for successful reentry into the community.

We are seeking a part time certified ($22) AOD counselor or registered ($18) AOD counselor.

Duties:

-facilitate groups

-complete clinical paperwork in a timely manner and according to agency standards

-assist clients on meeting treatment plan goals

-ensure that a structured environment is maintained

-oversee that daily tasks are completed

-assist in providing a therapeutic community

Schedule:

Friday 3-11 PM

Saturday 3-11 PM

Sunday 3-11 PM

Requirements:

-This position requires that the applicant be either a Registered/Certified drug and alcohol counselor. You must be certified with either CADTP or CCAPP.

-You MUST be able to pass Probation Clearance; which requires a minimum of two years not on Probation and/or Parole.

-If you are in recovery for a substance abuse addiction, you MUST have a minimum of two years sobriety. We are seeking an individual with high professional and ethical standards.

-Strong verbal and written communication skills
