Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting detailed medical histories and verifying insurance information
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit
• Support physicians during urological procedures by preparing necessary instruments and maintaining sterile environments
• Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, treatment plans, and ICD coding for diagnoses
• Administer medications as directed by physicians, adhering to safety protocols and medication administration guidelines
• Conduct basic diagnostic tasks or assisting with ultrasound procedures when applicable
• Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to urology to support accurate patient assessments
• Assist with specimen collection, lab sample handling, and preparation for laboratory analysis

Experience

• Prior experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Urology enhances your versatility in this role
• Experience supporting procedures in outpatient setting
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations
• Proven ability to utilize EHR systems effectively for documentation and coding purposes
• Strong understanding of ICD coding standards and medication administration protocols ensures compliance and accuracy
