Position Summary:
The phlebotomist performs pre-analytic phases of clinical specimen collection and preparation primarily in an outpatient setting but may be requested to work in other areas of the lab as needed.
Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $24.40 Midpoint $27.37 Maximum $30.34
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I)
Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience or a combination of the two
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Phlebotomy Tech I(Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of UCI phlebotomy program
