JOB SUMMARY

This program provides Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) for children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems due to diagnosed serious emotional disturbance or who may be dually diagnosed with at substance abuse disorder and emotional disturbance. The Clinical Case Supervisor (CCS) manages a caseload of a minimum of up to 15 high-risk youth and their families. The CCS is a hybrid position that works three (3) days in the office and two (2) days from home. The range of authority and decision making for this position is limited to and consistent with MHS policy for line staff and Case Managers. All decisions related to client treatment must be approved by the Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages a caseload of a minimum of twelve high-risk youth and their families.
Provides collateral services, as necessary.
Utilizes, identifies, implements, and monitors behavioral orientation, goals, and objectives for TBS cases.
In conjunction with TBS Team modifies and updates Treatment Plans as indicated and clinically necessary.
Evaluates through assessment, clinical review, observation, and functional analysis TBS Case status.
Monitors TBS Coach Documentation and facilitates training/mentoring, as necessary.
Provides regular and, as needed, case consultation for TBS Coaches.
Coordinates with other Case Managers and Program Assistant in case assignment, case implementation and on-going case status.
Available for 24-hour crisis intervention.
Attends TBS Case Initial, Implementation, Treatment Review, and other case specific meetings on assigned cases.
Completes required documentation (progress notes, Treatment Plans, Medical INSYST billing, etc.) that is timely, complete, consistent, and organized.
Participates and facilitates informal clinical and BEST/TBS program training.
Participates in Initial, Implementation and Treatment Team meetings.
Orients and supervises TBS Coaches in client’s home during case implementation/initiation and throughout the duration of the open TBS case.
Functions within a multi-disciplinary team and act as a liaison between TBS and County of San Bernardino and other community resources.
Strong knowledge of the mental health systems of care.
Comprehensive knowledge of child development.
Create written documentation that is legible, clear, and concise.
Maintain the distinction between therapeutic and social relationships.
Comply with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Active Board of Behavioral Sciences registration as an AMFT, ASW or APCC required. Licensed as a LCSW, LMFT or LPCC preferred.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another field related to BBS licensure.
Minimum of one year of experience working with children, youth, and their families in a mental health setting.
Ability to create and implement individual case plans.
Bilingual. Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish required.
Experienced, effective counselor providing counseling, therapy and clinical services to individuals, groups, and families.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software.
Ability to problem solve and react appropriately to emergency situations.
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team.
