Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

Involved in preparation of various government reports and support their audits. The Corporate Government Reimbursement Specialist will assist in preparing and understanding main sections of cost report. The Corporate Government Reimbursement Specialist should understand how one section of the report is linked to another and be able to evaluate the accuracy of the entire report.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years in experience creating or supporting cost reports
Experience in preparing and completing entire Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, preferably for a multi-state hospital system and provide the support at audit
Knowledge of Medicare rules on Medicare DSH, Medicare bad debts, charity and hospital bad debts for S-10, Interns and Residents FTE counts. Apply the knowledge when preparing the cost report and its subsequent audit.
Experience working with Besler’s EZWP program, HFS, PS&R, 835 files, financial statement, and patient account systems.
Strong analytical skills and resourceful
Experience working with hospital GL and patient accounting systems (Lawson, EPIC, Meditech)
Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum four classes in accounting/finance.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $92,081.60 to $135,158.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
