The Counselor will facilitate/co-facilitate groups/education sessions, perform individual therapy sessions, complete DAP notes, write treatment plans, create relapse prevention plans, and educate the client on substance abuse issues. They will also perform duties while adhering to the organization’s values and principles.

Education, Training, and Qualifications:

• Two years’ experience in the field of alcohol and drug treatment.
• Must have previous experience in individual and group counseling services.
• Must have completed a certificate program specializing in addiction studies.
• Certification as an AOD counselor with CCAPP or be licensed in compliance with California law to provide Alcohol and Drug counseling in pursuant of Section 13010, Title 9, Division 4, Chapter 8, Subchapter 2, California Code of Regulations.
• Knowledge of self-help groups (AA, NA, CA), community resources, and charting client files.
• The position requires a proven ability in both oral and written communication.
• Current TB test results or be able to obtain within a week.
• 1 st aid/cpr certification or be able to obtain within a week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
