Position Title: Credit and Cash Applications Specialist Location: Anaheim, CA Department: Accounting Position Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $21.75 - $24.00/ per hour
SUPERVISION: Reports to Manager, Credit & Collections
SUMMARY: As a Credit & Cash Applications Specialist, your primary responsibility is to support Accounts Receivable Department by processing credit memos, debit memos, non-inventory related billing, researching, and resolving discrepancies to assist with account reconciliation, and performing cash application duties to help achieve monthly receivable targets. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong ability to improve processes and build effective cross-functional relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Process credits for returns and other various customer claims
Process non inventory related credit and debit notes
Credit and re bill customers
Process customer rebate credits
Research and resolve discrepancies related to credits, payments, unidentified returns, and AR billings
Support on cash application duties and other AR administrative tasks
Work closely with internal collectors, external customers, sales team, and programs team to resolve identified discrepancies related to credits, billing, and/or payments before proceeding with processing
Work closely with Returns team to ensure timely submission of customer return documentation
Digital filing
Maintain strong customer relationships by responding promptly and accurately to both internal and external inquiries and requests
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managing assigned duties including directions and examples
Use discernment to escalate issues when necessary to the direct manager and supervisor of team
Keep detailed notes, create tasks, and set reminders
Provide comprehensive updates and path to resolving outstanding issues
Decides on method and sequence of work and does this in consultation with more senior workers or group leaders to meet deadlines
Decides which (administrative) tools to use or to create to fulfill the responsibility
Provides recommendations for process improvement and communicates and implements once approved
