Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems like Epic
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique in the dental office
Requirements:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
-A heart for compassion and care
- Proficiency in dental systems and software, including Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Ability to perform vital signs monitoring and interpret medical imaging results
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate dental records and documentation
