Description

Expatiate Communication Inc. is seeking an Educational Systems and Data Integration specialist to oversee and enhance educational data systems and technology integrations. This role combines expertise in data management, educational technology, and special education compliance to optimize data utilization, improve educational outcomes, and support program implementation across various educational platforms.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

(1) Data Management and Support:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for student data systems, including CALPADS, iTAAP, and special education databases.
  • Administer and monitor data accuracy within various systems, providing technical support and training to users.
  • Facilitate the integration of new technologies and systems, ensuring alignment with educational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Perform complex data auditing, reconciliation, and preparation of reports for state, federal, and local agencies.
  • Develop and implement procedural guidelines for data management and reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Track and maintain student data including accommodations, progress, and academic status.
  • Serve as the special education database administrator, monitoring data accuracy and providing technical support to district users.
 

(2) Program Development and Implementation:
  • Plan, develop, and evaluate educational programs, leveraging data insights to tailor interventions and improve student outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of data-driven Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) initiatives.
  • Review and recommend adjustments based on data trends and stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop customized data solutions and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Evaluate requests from school agencies for new or enhanced programs and services, providing data-driven recommendations.
 

(3) Professional Development and Training:
  • Design and deliver professional development sessions and training workshops on data management and technology utilization.
  • Stay informed of current trends in educational technology and data analytics, sharing knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training workshops, conferences, and in-services, focusing on data-driven decision-making and leveraging technology to support educational excellence.
 

(4) Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a liaison with support personnel, government agencies, and community organizations to coordinate data-related services and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with educational partners, including school districts and charter systems.
  • Create and distribute informational materials to promote engagement and understanding of educational initiatives.
 

(5) Technical Support and Database Management:
  • Oversee special education databases, including user access, data accuracy, and system updates.
  • Provide technical support and training for district users, maintaining up-to-date expertise in relevant software and regulations.
  • Track and maintain data related to student accommodations, progress, and academic status.
  • Prepare and review specialized state and district reports to track special education students and ensure compliance with reporting specifications.
 

(6) Administrative and Additional Duties:
  • Prepare and proofread reports, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Support special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or other administrators.
  • Manage clerical support for specialized off-site programs and prepare for scheduled audits of student data by California Department of Education or other agencies.
 

Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ease of working with highly technical platforms and a proven ability to train others.
 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or administrative credential preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the education or EdTech industry, with a focus on data management and partner engagement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in special education compliance, data collection, and reporting.
  • Previous experience with educational technology solutions and data-driven decision making highly desirable.

Salary

$75,000 - $111,000 per year
