ExamWorks is seeking a Float Medical Office Assistant!

The Float Medical Office Assistant is responsible for preparing examination rooms, assisting physicians, recording height and weight, and completing clerical duties (answer phones, confirming appointments, email).
The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday (hours vary), with some weekend work as well.
Main coverage will be at the Anaheim, CA office, you will travel to the surrounding areas as needed. Paid travel time and mileage reimbursement! Pay range is $19-21/hr.

Responsibilities:
Routes examinee to exam room, vitals room and/or x-ray room as needed.
Review chart and verifies examinee information is available for examining physician.
When necessary, chaperones examinations with female examinees or as requested by physician.
Responsible for set-up, maintenance, and cleanliness of exam rooms.
Maintains a smooth flow of examinations to ensure appointments are kept on schedule.
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
Ensures all practices are carried out in accordance with state and federal safety and legal regulations.
Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required.
Uploads medical records from Records Dept. and also pull records from client sites to upload into our system.
Qualifications:
Reliable transportation for travel.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 1-2 years on the job experience in a medical office or related field preferred.
Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Must have adequate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values.
Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone.
Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
