Under the supervision of the Clinical Director office supervisor and MD, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for physician; take vital signs, record patient charges, record patient history and assist in minor office procedures. Obtain initial patient information and assist providers in order to increase efficiently and report production of the provider they are working under.
the MA will be responsible for answering, researching, and resolving customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems in a fast-paced, healthcare call center environment both in office and remotely.
Additional responsibilities include: • Performs necessary duties in answering a heavy volume of telephone calls; relaying incoming and outgoing telephone calls; and in facilitating internal communication throughout community practices and the Medical Center.
Responsible for all aspects of scheduling appointments. The perfect candidate has not only the required skills, but also the patience and compassion to assist our patients with questions and concerns both before and after appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/Licensure: Not required. Experience: One of the following: 1. 6 months experience as a Medical Scribe. 2. 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have minimal - 6 months as a medical scribe
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Medical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS certification.
SKILLS
Applicant must have exceptional written and verbal skills and be proficient in typing and have excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills. The applicant must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining great attention to detail. The applicant must also be reliable and punctual, professional, and have a willingness to learn. Excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience before attending medical school or physician assistant school. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus as is experience with medical terminology. Able to work independently. Has knowledge of industry standards and expectations. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within this field. Excellent verbal and written skills. Computer literate with knowledge of Excel/Word. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Able to verify a variety of standard and/or complex patient data. Physical Requirements:
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
