Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Agent or Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations efficiently., or be in the back office doing medical assisting for the physician. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and medical knowledge to support our clinic's daily functions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with clinic policies.
  • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and correspondence promptly.
  • Assist with medication administration processes as needed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Stay informed about clinic services, procedures, and medical terminology to provide accurate information to patients.
  • Support emergency medicine protocols when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in inpatient or clinic environments, is highly desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
  • Ability to recognize vital signs and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and software applications related to patient management systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
