Medical Receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
The Medical Assistant and Front Desk positions are the backbone of the clinic. Medical Assistants guide the patient on their personalized journey to live a better, healthier life. Because of this great responsibility, all assigned tasks must be completed with great care and accuracy. Medical Assistants are the liaison between the provider and the patient and must maintain a professional, calm demeanor at all times. Front Desk Receptionists help the patients check in, make payments, and set appointments.
Requirements Education/Experience
Requirements include High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in functional or integrative medical practice with phlebotomy skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Preference will go to candidates willing to adapt to a fast paced environment with a steep learning curve.
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for office assistant duties including coordinating and scheduling patient appointments and follow ups, greeting patients, and answering and returning patient calls.
Responsible for gathering a thorough medical history, including vitals and BMI prior to each visit, of the patient and entering or updating patient medical record information.
Responsible for scheduling lab testing, ordering required lab work for patients, contacting the patient regarding lab reviews, and updating the patient medical record information. Duplicate
Required to train and obtain identified certifications for medical practice equipment and devices.
Responsible for assisting in procedures and the set-up of medical equipment such as a PEMF, Cold Laser, HOCATT, cognitive function tests, Votiva, Centrifuges, and Shockwave devices as directed by the provider.
Responsible for the management of medical faxes and working on prior authorizations for prescribed medications.
Refills medications as directed by the provider and coordinates prescriptions with the patient’s preferred pharmacy as needed.
