Full Job Description

Rancho Physical Therapy is looking for a Front Office Assistant to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Front Office Assistant duties may include but are not limited to, greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling of patients, verifying insurance, chart preparation, collecting of co-pays and co-insurance under the general or direct supervision of the Director or the Front Office Manager.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in physical therapy or related medical field.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to follow directions and use sound judgment in performing job related functions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a respectful delivery.
  • Able to organize time and set priorities appropriately, demonstrating flexibility.
  • Ability to establish rapport and work harmoniously with patients, families, professionals, co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to uphold decisions of supervising therapists and take direction from supervisory personnel.
  • Ability to assume responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Ability to maintain, clean, lift and move equipment demonstrating good body mechanics and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrate integrity and discretion in all job-related matters.
  • An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care.
  • Bilingual a plus

Verifying Insurance

  • Efficiently obtain and understand all benefits and limitations on insurance contracts
  • Determine if correct codes are provided so our contractual claims submission guidelines are followed
  • Determine proper documents needed for workers comp authorizations
  • Obtain written authorization for all patients whom require them
  • Determine and communicate with related parties copies of records
  • Collection of patient responsible payments
