Empire Clinical Research has been conducting clinical research for over 15 years with many leading pharmaceutical companies. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will initially be based in Pomona, CA, for a one-month training period, with the possibility of a transfer to our Pasadena, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing records, and handling participant communication.
• Recruit subjects into new studies using patient databases, cold calling, and other methods. Prescreen participants via phone to ensure trial eligibility.
• Greet study participants and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Draw blood and collect other specimens from patients for various laboratory tests.
• Administer injections and medications under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the office area.
• Communicate effectively with participants, doctors, and other medical staff.
• Provide bilingual (English and Spanish) support to Spanish-speaking participants when necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant license
• Previous experience working as a medical assistant, preferably in a clinical or research setting.
• Proficiency in drawing blood and administering injections.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred to assist with Spanish-speaking participants.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

• blood draw: 1 year (Preferred)
