Growing pain management practice seeks a part-time (with potential to become full-time) front office medical assistant. We are a proud, woman-owned practice. We are looking for a compassionate individual who can multitask, have excellent customer service skills, and is a team player. You will be the face of our clinic, being the first person who the patient encounters and represents our clinic and what our vision is.

The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for performing routine clinical and administrative tasks. Clinical duties may include but are not limited to rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, collecting urine samples, and administering medications. Administrative duties may include but are not limited to knowing the patient's plan of care and make sure patient schedule and keep appointments, creating and maintaining patient records, answering phone calls, registering new patients, insurance authorizations, medication authorizations, procedures scheduling, and collecting and posting fees. Other duties can include giving counseling, care and follow-up instructions, health education and materials to patients under the direct supervision of a physician. Maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
All patients are asked to wear masks. Family members are not allowed to come in with the patient unless there is a translation or memory issue. PPE and sanitization materials are provided for staff, etc. All patients are asked about covid exposure, etc.
