HCBTS is looking for a dynamic, flexible, passionate individual to join our outstanding team!
A Group Facilitator will run 5-10 groups per week (5-10 hours per week) and will set the tone for appropriate behavior during groups. An ideal candidate will possess the ability to keep clients engaged during groups while promoting healing and encouragement.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a high level of communication with the Clinical Team regarding client behavior, progress, and any further observation essential to the clients' treatment
Documentation of group notes in KIPU on day of service
Maintain group curriculum and update material regularly
Have a keen awareness of various 12-step groups and knowledge of the 12 step-recovery
Must have knowledge and ability to use counseling techniques to educate, elicit feelings, facilitate self-understanding and motivation to clients
Knowledge and sufficient understanding of HIPAA laws, rules, and regulations (specifically includes, but is not limited to, the privacy, security, and confidentiality of clients protected health information)
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicable CA State License or Certification
Must have a business license if required by your city
Must have liability insurance
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Knowledge of the industry's laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines
At least 2 years of experience in the Chemical Dependency field
Required License/Certifications:
Must be licensed / certified as one of the following in the State of California:
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor III (CADC III)
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor II (CADC II)
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor - Certified Addiction Specialist (CADC-CAS)
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
