In addition to performing all the functions of a Laboratory technician, the Lead Technician provides direct supervision of Lab Technicians, Lab Assistants, and Phlebotomistis on the respective shift, and coordinates functions and activities in his/her assigned departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: At least three years previous venipuncture experience in an acute hospital or healhcare setting in related work, and at least 2 years previous experience as a Laboratory Assistant\ Lab Technician.
Knowledge and Skills: In addition to the requirements for Lab Technician, the Lead Technician will demonstrate leadership abilities and possess strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
License/Certifications: State approved phlebotomy certificate
