Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC)Family Health Centers (FHC) are recruiting for Licensed Vocational Nurses III who serve as lead workers over Licensed Vocational Nurses I, Licensed Vocational Nurses II, and Care Assistants at ARMC's McKee, Westside, Fontana and Redlands Family Health Centers. Licensed Vocational Nurses III function in a leadership role directing clinic workflow; assigning, reviewing and evaluating the work of staff; conducting training, and overseeing quality control activities. In addition, positions perform direct patient care, provide patient education, and actively participate in audit readiness activities. Licensed Vocational Nurses III are a new addition to the Family Health Center's healthcare team and play an important role in the care of patients with chronic conditions in the ambulatory care setting.

THE FAMILY HEALTH CENTERS
The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. Each patient is assigned to a primary care provider to attend to his or her individual health care needs.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Shift Availability: Availability for evening clinic hours is required.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.
Certifications: Must maintain Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support throughout employment. Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification required upon hire.
Physical ability: Performance of the essential job functions requires physical agility, good vision and color discrimination; fine hand manipulation and finger dexterity in both hands; working and/or reaching above and below shoulder level; discerning speech in quiet/noisy locations; lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Location: Applicants will be certified for all locations.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must possess all of the following:
1) License: Must possess and maintain a license with the state of California as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
2) Certification: Must possess and maintain Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support
-AND-
One of the following experience options:
3) Option 1: Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse of which six (6) months must be in an outpatient care environment.
-OR-
Option 2: Two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation hospital.
An equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates possessing supervisory experience, and strong clinical and leadership skills are highly desired.
