POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervising and conducting performance evaluation for Certified Nursing Assistants. The Neighborhood/Household Nurse performs nursing functions with the neighborhood/household that includes passing medications, observing residents’ condition and communicating them to the Nurse Supervisor (RN), Director of Nursing or the physician as needed. The Nurse works closely with the Nurse Leader to ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a person-centered resident-directed culture, strengthens the ability of the neighborhood/household to grow as an effective home and promote individual and team learning. The Nurse is a teacher and role-model of professional nursing practices to the neighborhood/household staff and resident advocate for quality clinical care. The Nurse provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with their assessment, choices and plan of care.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with physicians.
