Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings and Primary Care. This role involves providing essential support to healthcare professionals and delivering high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient environments. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical tasks, assisting with patient intake, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Perform intake assessments, including recording vital signs and medical history
• Administer medications as directed by physicians
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems
• Ensure compliance with medical terminology and coding standards (ICD coding)
• Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings, including emergency medicine and internal medicine

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques
• Experience with medical administrative support functions
• Understanding of outpatient care protocols and urgent care procedures
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction
• Capability to perform clinical tasks accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
