Key Responsibilities:

As a Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Patient Care and Assistance: Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience.
  • Clinical Support: Take patient histories and vital signs accurately, assist physicians during exams and minor procedures, and provide direct patient care as instructed.
  • Procedural Support: Administer injections, apply dressings, and assist with minor surgeries and other procedures, as directed by the physician.
  • Room Preparation and Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies and properly sterilized. Keep medical equipment clean, safe, and ready for use.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient records, documenting treatments, histories, and any other relevant information.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians and other medical staff to provide the best patient care, while ensuring clear and professional communication with all team members.
  • Teamwork: Uphold a positive, team-oriented attitude to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all organizational policies, guidelines, and protocols, including those concerning working hours, breaks, and patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Experience as a Medical Assistant or similar healthcare role preferred

  • Proficient with medical office equipment and technology

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic clinical practices

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in an occupational healthcare clinic preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual: Preferred, but not required.
