Full Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team who is compassionate, energetic and enjoys high level of patient interaction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, administrative and organizational skills required. Bilingual a Plus

Work Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm 1 hour lunch

Thursday 9am - 6pm

Saturday 8am to 1:30pm 1/2hr lunch

General Responsibilities include:

-Rooming patients and setting up procedures
-Responsible for the ongoing communication between the physician and the patient.
- Assisting the physician with medical procedures
-Maintain patient charting, testing and flow sheets
-Answering phones & scheduling appointments

Requirements and Qualifications:

- Previous fertility experience desired but not required.
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance a plus
- Ability to multitask, and work well both independently and in a team setting.
- Computer Skills - including Microsoft Office
- Pediatric Skills

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Update calendars and schedule appointments
  • Keep updated records, verify insurances
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
  • Administer Vaccine
  • Complete all back office clinical duties

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school degree, and Medical certificate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
