This job opening is for a Medical Assistant position at our WHITTIER office.

Primary Responsibilities: Back Office / Clinical

  • Patient Preparation: Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for their visit.
  • Vital Signs & Patient Information: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, height, weight, and temperature. Document patient history and symptoms in the electronic health record (EHR) as directed.
  • Assisting Clinicians: Assist clinicians with medical procedures, including setting up necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Blood Draws & Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws as needed. Collect urine and other lab specimens for testing, label specimens, and prepare them for processing.
  • Injections & Immunizations: Administer injections and immunizations as directed by clinicians, following safety protocols and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Room Preparation & Sterilization: Prepare, clean, and disinfect examination rooms between patients, ensuring they are fully stocked with necessary supplies. Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies according to infection control guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Provide basic health education and instructions on self-care, follow-up procedures, and medication administration as directed by clinicians.
  • Medical Records Management: Document all clinical interactions and procedures accurately in the EHR, ensuring all patient information remains confidential and HIPAA-compliant.
  • Other related tasks may be assigned as needed.
  • Candidate must be bilingual (English / Spanish)

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
