We seek a Medical Assistant for our pediatrics primary care clinic in Long Beach.

Medical Assistant's primary duties will include but are not limited to:

• Front Office: Scheudule appts, Confirm Appts, Understant Insurance, Check-In and Out Patients.
• Answer incoming calls and administrative duties
• Creating relationships with patients by giving excellent customer service
• Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
• Taking patient chief complaints and vitals
• Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care
• Taking vitals and preparing patients for their clinical exams
• Drawing blood, giving injections and vaccines (VFC)
• Scan screeners and paperwork to the chart
• Preventive Measures/HEDIS
• Work with Pediatric patients

Qualifications include:

• Experience (preferred) as a medical assistant, preferably in a primary care setting with pediatric patients.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent customer service skills
• Electronic Medical Records proficiency
• Some software skills are a requirement, including familiarity with Excel, MS Office programs, and Gmail, as well as internet research abilities.
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Educational Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
