ESSENTIAL JOB Functions will likely include:

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

With a great attention to detail:

  • Multi-task with an outstanding memory
  • Measure and record vital signs
  • Order medical supplies
  • Perform diagnostic testing: EKG, In body (Body Composition Analysis)
  • Sterilizing medical equipment
  • Instructing patients aftercare instructions
  • Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Performing basic laboratory tests
  • Aiding the physician/nurse during medical exams
  • Supporting the Infusion (IV) Department and nurse
  • Prepare/clean patient areas

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):

  • Quickly learn, maintain and troubleshoot programs and software
  • Efficiently complete new patient check-in and patient check-out
  • Provide excellent service when answering and transferring phone calls, setting appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments, and greeting patients upon arrival
  • Prepare EMR charts for the next business day
  • Perform front desk administrative tasks, filing, and patient chart maintenance
  • Handle billing process
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education, Skills & Experience REQUIRED:

  • Medical Assisting certificate
  • CPR/First aid certificate
  • Must have flexibility to work some weekends
  • Excellent customer service skills and ethical professional conduct
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Computer literate with MS office, excel, outlook
  • Must have a valid CA drivers license or reliable transportation
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA Compliance
  • Phlebotomy (not required but a plus)
