Full Job Description
A nationally recognized group of Plastic Surgeons are expanding their dynamic team based in Newport Beach. We are searching for a Certified Medical Assistant to work front and back office. We are searching for someone with a passion for aesthetic medicine to work closely with our clinic team members to provide outstanding patient care.
Experience preferred in plastic surgery, dermatology or aesthetics. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be able to confidently interact with patients.
- Answering phones and email inquiries, returning calls, greeting patients, creating new patient charts, collecting payments, scheduling appointments.
- Manage social media accounts.
- Explain and assist with selling skin care products.
- Assist with the surgery scheduling process.
- Assisting surgeons and Patient Care Coordinators with pre-op and post-op visits.
- Vitals, dressing changes, suture and drain removal.
- Communicating with doctors, nurses and medical staff - oral and written.
- Prepping exam rooms, rooming patients and maintaining office flow.
- Collecting detailed patient information including personal, medical & financial information.
- Prepping and updating patient charts.
- Maintain medical Records including scanning, updating, and record-keeping.
- Respond to inquiries by patients and prospective patients in a courteous manner.
- Photocopy materials as necessary, maintain supply of forms and charts as needed.
- Maintain client confidentiality in conformance with company policies, state laws, and federal regulations.
- Keep medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment.
- Responsible for keeping the patient treatment areas clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
