Full Job Description
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments by verifying Insurance.
_ Update and file medical records and insurance reports_
Assist doctor with patients and in office procedures.
_ Prepare electronic and paper Charts, file charts._
Collect Office Copay, send the daily charges to billing department.
_ Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms_
Discharge Patients and assist with lab orders, prescriptions.
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Requirements:
Proven working experience as a medical assistant and front office.
_ Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures_
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
_ Social perceptiveness and service oriented_
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
_ Strong organizational and planning skills_
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software preferably eClinicalWorks EMR and EPIC EMR.
Certified medical assistant.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
