Experience:

*Minimum two (2)+ years prior medical insurance authorization experience required.
*Prior experience within DME medical field preferred.
*Knowledge of basic medical terminology, including HCPC codes and ICD 10.
*Knowledge of clinical documents received by referral sources.

Skills:

*Must be able to type a minimum of 40 WPM - Type by touch.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to work efficiently and independently.
*Must have excellent customer service skills.
*Strong skills working with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Medical Authorizations: 3 years (Required)
  • Workers' compensation: 2 years (Preferred)
  • DME: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Required)
  • Medical coding: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft Outlook: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Insurance Authorizations: 2 years (Required)
