Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a Medical Case Administrator (Level I) on our Occupational Health team. Working under close supervision, the Medical Case Administrator performs a variety of routine customer support activities in support of a specific project/business/technical unit. Responsible for answering basic routine calls and gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources, uses software for functional area to schedule appointments and document in the case management systems, and delivers exceptional customer service at all customer touch points.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones from automated call distribution system
  • Accept, triage, and process basic referred cases from clients via phone, email and/or faxes received
  • Schedule claimant initial appointments including follow-up, and rescheduled appointments, and utilize map applications to ensure scheduling per contract and company guidelines
  • Enter appointment information, notes, and appropriate CPT codes into case management systems
  • Ensure all examinees and providers receive necessary documentation
  • Confirm all consultative reports and diagnostic test results are received and uploaded in the case management system in a timely manner
  • Meet or exceed contract timeliness guidelines in both scheduling and case management systems
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year of related experience preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred
  • Basic experience with electronic medical scheduling and case management software
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and superior follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented work environment
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to critically evaluate and resolve problems
  • Detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize their work
  • Must be self-motivated, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Suite

Additional Information:

  • Work ONSITE at Leidos QTC Health Services Headquarters:
    • 2100 E. Route 66 Suite 210 Glendora, CA 91740

  • Training4 to 6 weeks (ONSITE)
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (PST) depending on business need

This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
