Position Description / Requirements:

As a fast-paced, innovative and growing sports medicine company, we have an immediate need for a detail-oriented Medical Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist. We are looking for a team player with strong medical insurance / patient accounts receivable and billing experience.

Experience:

• Minimum one year prior medical insurance accounts receivable / billing experience required (2+ years preferred);
• Prior billing experience within DME medical field preferred;
• Prior patient collections experience a plus;
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, including HCPC codes and ICD 10;
• Knowledge of clinical documents received by referral sources.

Skills:

• Must be able to type a minimum of 50 WPM - Type by touch;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work efficiently and independently;
• Must have excellent customer service skills;
• Strong skills working with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Medical Accounts Receivable: 2 years (Required)
• Medical Billing: 2 years (Required)
• ICD-10: 1 year (Required)
• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Outlook: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 2 years (Required)
• Medical coding: 1 year (Required)
• Medical documentation: 1 year (Required)
