NKS Health Canada is looking for an experienced Medical Lab Technician to join our growing specialized pharmacy operations in Mississauga, ON. The successful applicant must be organized, reliable, patient-focused, and possess excellent communication skills. Position includes conducting routine medical laboratory tests and set up, cleaning and maintaining medical laboratory equipment. NKS Health offers an excellent work environment, competitive remuneration including a unique and flexible benefits plan. The position requires Full time hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing exemplary customer service that meets NKS Health standards
Reconstituting botulinum toxin in a sterile compounding environment
In-house and mobile blood work
TDM and FCal Testing
Updating Spreadsheet for patient monitoring and Laboratory Reports
Assist Physician with spasticity clinic on site at LTC
ADL / phlebotomy and patient testing - support
Calprotectin testing and analysis
Assisting with patient follow-up and reminders for testing
Coordinating new testing procedures – as required in the lab
Pharmacy Assistant support as required (aseptic med prep).
Physician support for testing analysis
Managing patient testing in the patients’ home and in-office as required
Job Requirements
MLPAO cMLA/T Certified
1 year work experience in Canada
1 year work experience in medical laboratory or pharmacy setting
Nice to Haves
Experience with specialty operations reimbursement
Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software
