Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and medication administration, particularly in a hospital or critical care setting.

Duties

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and inhalation therapies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries regarding medications and health-related questions.
  • Perform quality control checks on medications and supplies to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care initiatives in a hospital environment.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques during the preparation of sterile products.
  • Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, especially within a hospital or critical care setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
  • Knowledge of IV infusion techniques and medication administration protocols is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
