Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medications and their administration, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventory, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medication therapy for patients in acute care and critical care settings.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare staff.
• Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in acute care or critical care environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
