We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will type/process prescriptions. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. This is an administrative desk job. Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions and check their validity
• Reach out to provider offices to request refills
• Process prescriptions and ensure all information is complete and accurate
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards

Skills/Experience

• Must have at least 6-12 months previous experience in TYPING prescriptions
• Certified Pharmacy Technician is a must
• Reliable and timely
• Keen eye for detail
• Positive attitude
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changes
• Empathy and compassion for patients

Job Types: Full-time

$19.00-$22.00 DOE

COVID-19 considerations:
Closed door pharmacy, minimal face-to-face contact with patients
