JP Express Laboratory is in need of a Phlebotomist to support the laboratory functions by ensuring proper collection and processing of laboratory specimens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Specimen collection, and processing according to work instructions
-Obtain pertinent patient information per HIPPA guidelines; accurately identify patients; determine specimen requirements and collect patient sample using appropriate process of venipuncture or capillary collection.
- Assure completeness and accuracy of specimen labeling.
-Provide good customer service to all members and staff.
-Using appropriate resources make decisions as required for sample collection and patient processing.
- Perform all duties required of laboratory service/technical assistant.
